I scream, you scream, we all scream for our dream / Hi-vis edition
„I scream, you scream, we all scream for our dream“ is an invitation to reflect on unequal choices. I, you, we may have different starting points to realise my, your and our dreams. The wearers of this hi-vis vest edition bring the artwork into different environments and bring the text into the public realm. The text is spread across their bodies, whether riding a bicycle, working in a composting plant, engaging in civil disobedience or enacting a performative gesture.
„I scream, you scream, we all scream for our dream“ is inspired by the line „I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream“ from Jim Jarmusch’s 1986 film Down by Law, which featured in a prison scene as both a language game and as a prison rebellion.

Wir haben nichts zu verlieren außer unsere Angst * Nothing to lose but our fear / performative gesture
„We have nothing to lose but our fear” is not a slogan but a personal ritual to make something that has become solid, liquid again. In a performative gesture, the textile text bearer is held by a hand as it drifts through different bodies of water; the Mediterranean, the Spree and a mountain stream in the Dolomites. The performative gesture is not conceived for a specific audience, but for passers-by, tourists; for water, land and air animals and for the landscapes.
The text refers to the book of the same name Nothing to lose but our fear. Resistance in dangerous times by Fiona Jeffries (2015), in which she talks to activists and thinkers about fear and resistance.
